3 Reasons why You Should Have a Facebook Pixel Installed On Your Website and How To Do So

The Facebook Pixel is one of the most revolutionary marketing tools to come to market in the 21st century. By not having this simple piece of code installed on your site, you could be leaving a lot of money on the table. So what are the reasons behind this?

Retargeting/Remarketing

If retargeting is not your best friend going into 2020, you need to be acquainted as soon as possible.

Using the data that your Facebook Pixel collects, you’re able to show adverts specifically to people who have been on your website, familiar with your brand, added products to the cart but have abandoned, people who’ve spent the most time on your site and many more highly targeted options.

Measure Success

In any business, measuring success is a pivotal to the longevity and sustainability. If you don’t know how much you’re selling, how can you adapt and progress?

The Facebook pixel tracks EXACTLY how many people take the desired action on your website E.g. Make a purchase, make an enquiry etc. This allows you see what’s working and what’s not, how much revenue you’re making AND your total return on Ad Spend.

Optimise for Conversions

Many people make the mistake of not optimising for conversions when first starting out with Facebook and Instagram Ads.

By selecting to optimise for conversions, you’re telling Facebook that you want your adverts to be shown to the people most likely to take the desired action on your website based on their previous behaviour.

However, Facebook will not allow you to optimise for conversions if you do not have a pixel installed on your site.

Start installing your Facebook Pixel by visiting your Facebook business manager and navigating to the ‘Pixel Section’. Your Pixel will be created with one click and then Facebook will lay out clear instructions of how to install it.

You’re also given the option to ‘Send Instructions To Your Web Developer’ which may make things a little easier!
